Gluten sensitivity and lactose intolerance are on the rise and more and more people are becoming victims of this. The reason why is because gluten is put in almost everything processed we eat, and it irritates the intestinal lining causing abdominal pain and bloating, and even constipation for some.
I suffered from what I thought was irritable bowel for about 5 years, constant pain and frequent diarrhea. I had doctors put me on meds that would help for a little while and then it would come back. After reading an article put out by the AMA I decided to take both the Gluten and Dairy out of my diet for a month. It was easier than I thought and not only did I lose weight but my stomach quit hurting and I went back to regular. After a month I slowly reintroduced dairy and Gluten products and realized that Dairy is the culprit for me, though I can tolerate it in small amounts.
You might want to try it, you will never eat healthier in your life. Oh, and I fired my Doctor after that because instead of addressing the issue she would just rather push meds.
