I have had three C-sections, and a supra cervical hysterectomy in 2007. I have been having pain during intercourse and back pain recently. It has been going on for about a year actually... I had an ultrasound which showed a cyst on my cervix and a few cysts on my ovary. My doctor is suggesting my pain is probably from adhesions. The Doctor who performed my hysterectomy wrote in his notes that there was excessive scar tissue. I have been referred to a a surgeon at citeman Cancer Center, because my OB/GYN said the surgery would be extensive and beyond his expertise. He said that surgery would most probably be to clean up the scar tissue and remove my cervix. Do you suggest surgery? Is there anyway other than surgery to fix adhesions?
