What is the name of such medicine and where can it be purchased?
I have RA and my Dad has Osteo and RA. He hated taking Percocet for pain and it didn't help him much but he also refused to even try to take it as prescribed or close to it.
He started taking Glucosamine which you can find in the supplement isle and it's not cheap; about $45 a bottle but it's a huge bottle but it has helped him tremendously with joint and back pain.
I'm ready to try it myself but have been sick on a reformulation of a med I've remained on the same dose of taking responsibly for 9yrs out of 11yrs on it.
Nothing else helped my Dad so I would ask your pharmacist 1st to ensure it doesn't mess with any other meds you may be prescribed but it is natural and recently an Arthritis doctor on a local TV show has RA himself and takes it saying how much it helps.
Osteo Bi Flex!!! Ive tried about everything out there for my arthritis and this is the best Ive found by far. Its kinda expensive but for what it does for me, its worth every penny. It takes away almost all of my arthritis pain and stiffness and is natural so Im not stuck taking medications that are bad for your body every day. I take 2 a day every day and have for about 5 years now. If I stop taking it, within 2 days I notice BIG time. I highly recommend trying it for a week or 2 and see how it works. Hopefully it can give you as much relief as me. Get the triple strength with glucosamine, chondroitin and msm.
Ask your pharmacist for something with capcaisen in it. Don't use too much or too often as it will burn your skin. A slight burning during the first few weeks is normal. Google it, its quite an interesting formulation.
I used it for knee pain and it was more effective than other creams and ointments I tried.
