When were you 8 yrs old? I might be able to quess at it if I know about when this was.
Who knows back then. They used a lot of things routinely in kids that they dont use today. Did you ask your mother if she remembers what it was?
There's a possibility it was a medication called Bellergal, which is a tiny, beige colored pill that has a relatively sweet tasting coating. It certainly wouldn't be used for that purpose, or on children, today but it's possible it would have been in 1969. Just an idea.
