Although my psychiatrist suggested 80mg to see if my thought process can improve more and better than it had been, there had been a major improvement with Latuda.
I was initially on haloperidol and my psychiatrist suggested to move onto Latuda and I started off at 20 mg for a week and progressively to 60mg and have been on it for 2 months. I am nearly functional.
Hi, Patient! I started taking Latuda at 60mg/day and am now taking 120mg/day. I've never had any side effects at all except some minor nausea the first two nights after I started it. Personally, Latuda has been a wonder drug for me The only problem is that my doctor is having to supply me with samples as even with insurance my co-pay would be over $500. Best regards, Wildcat

Hi, at 80 mgs, I had a lot of side effects. I would be so cold that my son had to cover me up with 5 blankets. I also ended up with mastitis in one breast. It was very painful. I had to go back down to 40 mgs. I also got a really weird hand rash. I had to take a antibiotics and get a mammogram. I still have symptoms of psychosis and paranoia but I can't take a higher dosage. Which is a bummer because I really need it. But I have so many problems with antipsychotics that the Latuda does work the best for me. It doesn't make me gain weight nor make me so tired that I can't function. So I guess I just have to live this way. I really do hope it works out well for you. It is a great med.
