My boyfriend has a really bad toothache. Not sure if his tooth is infected but he took four Aleves along with one ibuprofen. I told him that seem to be too much medicine. Will he be OK?
Although a high dose of ibuprofen, it can be prescribed at this level and some doctors will even advise taking it with aspirin or Tylenol, but not another type of NSAID. There is a lot of gastric damage risk at too high of levels or prolonged use of nsaids, but coating the stomach first can help this too.
