Why the fever for so long. Brought him back to dr again and she said bring him back Monday if still running fever... He is missing a lot of school and I'm concerned about that too. My 3 year old was just treated for scarlet fever... they were both treated with same very expensive antibiotic. But, as i said Evan my 8 is running this fever. Usually about 101.3 or 99.9... I know its not a high temp but it's still very frightening. Has anyone else gone thru this?
I get fevers as high as 102.
Despite having lupus, which most men are not susceptible to let alone a seven year old boy. Many specialists cannot put their finger on a diagnosis. The only clue other than the fevers is a 2.4 white blood cell count (chronic).
They call it a fever of unknown origin.
Tylenol is the only medication that works. Hope I helped a little. And whatever you do don't give up. Best wishes! bestpup
