Over the past 2 years with no change in my major depression or anxiety. I am also on 2 MG of Ativan. I am really praying this works. I have had more motivation as of late but still feel lack of pleasure and pretty down. Can anyone tell me if wellbutrine worked for them when tons of other meds did not. Thanks and God bless all of you battling this awful illness
I had a friend who had been through a horrible tragedy, both physically and mentally. She tried almost every antidepressant on the market. The one which FINALLY worked for her was Wellbutrin. I don't know how long it took to build up in her system and provide her with the much needed results, but it did indeed work very well for her, where the prior meds she had tried did not. She is now not only stable but very happy and her life has turned around 360 degrees! As Laurie Shay said, everyone's chemistry is different, and the time it takes for your body to respond to any given drug varies with each individual due to our varying individual chemistry. If you haven't been on Wellbutrin for very long, perhaps give it a little longer to see if it will give you the results that you need. If not, then it's time to review with your physician for an alternative. I wish you happiness and wellness. :o) xo
This is my first time on here and I realize your post is very old, but I want to comment anyway because it may be helpful to someone else,
For me, the combination of Wellbutrin 150, along with Lexapro 10 does the trick. Wellbutrin is for the dopamine and Lexapro is for the serotonin. Our brains need both. Some of us need a boost in both. I don't understand why doctors do not explain this to patients! Many of us suffer for years trying different antidepressents that do not completely relieve our depression. Now, you know why! There is no combination medication for both, unfortunately. Ask your doctor about trying the combination of Wellbutrin and Lexapro and see if it helps. Godspeed!

Will the effectiveness of my antidepressants change if I take it at night instead of in the morning?
