Why is 60mg the max daily dose for Buspar? Why can't it be more?

Buspirone is occasionally prescribed off-label up to 90mg in isolated cases but studies have not shown that dosing above 60mg is any more effective. Because of this few extensive studies have been done to determine the safety of the higher dose.

This is exactly right. Buspar is a hot or miss for people and if you’ve gone from the 15 to 60mg without a lot of improvement, it’s not going to help to go up to 90. If you did have some improvement, that’s great. Go to therapy and work on the rest free discount card
