It can but not always cause dizziness so if you keep getting dizzy/lightheaded talk to your doc. The other thing you should check is your blood sugar readings on a daily basis to see whether they are too low or too high... Sugar levels are read either in mmol/L in Canada and ml/dL in the States so if you measure it in mmol/L 8 isn't a bad number if it's after a meal but not so hot if after fasting.
