Can it take longer to work? Also anyone taking 150 mg?
Hi, Bobby! Some people report feeling better at 3-4weerks or sooner but it usually takes at least 4 weeks and then 6-8 weeks to achieve fully therapeutic blood levels.
Maybe give it just a bit longer? 8 weeks is considered a fair trial.
Hope this kicks in for you very soon!
My suggestion is to stay with it a little longer. Customarily SNRI'S and SSRI'S (Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) take a little time to work, in some cases it may take anywhere from 4-6 weeks, or longer to take proper effectiveness. Dosage needs vary depending on the individual. I have an acquaintance that takes 300mg. If I'm not mistaken the dosage ranges anywhere from 50mg-400mg. If you haven't received any adjustment with managing symptoms after a month I would go back and discuss it with the doctor. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.
