Very few good days - just can't get myself in a better mood and afraid to do certain things. Really have no side effects but am hardly every happy. Still worry too much.
Hello. I pretty well understand your feelings as I am on both meds. Xanax makes me feel blah. But the thoughts slow down and I am no longer feeling like I am going crazy. Been doing this for a little over a month now. Would help to know how long you have been on this.
Well, grammybev, you have to take the next step. No drug cures the blues. No drug wipes out all side effects in our other meds or our lives. Time to go get a therapist for a while and get in touch with where the blues are coming from. I don't know if you have used one before, but nowadays they are result oriented so they will help you get through your troubles that you aren't able to shake from your mind and get you Back your self confidence. by the time you become a Grammy a lot has happened and probably a lot is happening. Finding someone who can dig you out of that hole and not just give you platitudes will do a lot for you. It took strength to write us. It takes strength to fix yourself. Obviously you have it.
Depression hurts and sucks the energy out of you. Only you can get started again. There certainly must be some grand kids out there to keep track of. Friends you haven't seen in a while? Helping others does a great job in getting better. Even a simple thing like opening a door or a smile to someone can be so very rewarding. To both of you.
Go Grammy go! Much to look forward for happpiness. Much to find in each day. All ya gotta do is look. Stay in touch.
Hello GRAMMYBEV1. Welcome to the site. I understand and it can be frustrating and draining. You are fairly close to the maximum dose for Celexa. Sometimes, its upped to 60 mg, but that depends on the diagnosis. Meaning its seldom increased that high for people who have depression alone as a diagnosis. Its hit and miss. Trial and error to what might help you. Best I might suggest is to sit down and ask your doctor to try another drug. There are many to choose from. But, depending on the drug family, they all tend to work in many areas, in the same way. SSRIs all concentrate on serotonin levels. Hopefully someone might beable to offer you some suggestions to help make your life more liveable. Regards and best of wishes, pledge
