I just got put on Zoloft, clonazepam, quetiapine, and Lamictal a couple months ago. Are there any interactions between any of those? Or side effects or just any signs I should/need to pay attention to being on these four medications?
Hi, Cathy! Zoloft is an antidepressant/anxiolytic. Quetiapine is an antipsychotic which is often prescribed at low doses for sleep and to booster the effects of an antidepressant. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine sedative prescribed for anxiety attacks until the full effects of your Zoloft are felt. Lamictal is actually an anticonvulsant which also has mood stabilizing qualities.
Here is your Drug Interaction report:
This combination may cause drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, and motor incoordination so you shouldn't drive or perform hazardous activities until you know how they affect you.
Be aware that the benzodiazepines are highly habituating so use your clonazepam strictly as directed. Your Zoloft may initially cause some increased anxiety but this usually only lasts a few days to a week or two.
Hope this covers some of your concerns but always feel free to post again if you have specific questions, okay?
Best regards, Wildcat
