It will make a mess of your period and I have no clue as to the consequences. Asking first may have been wisest
To skip a period while on oral birth control is fairly straightforward for most woman. When you should take the placebo/placemarker/reminder pills; don't and just start the next pack of active pills and your next period should not be due for another three weeks when the next placebo pills are due to induce your period.
Some women are happy to do this for 4 to 6 months at a time and choose to have a period months apart to have a bit of a reline shedding the old internal uterine covering layer and replacing it with new as is natural.
