bad as well as my mood smoking for over 30 years is their any thing i can decuss this with my doctor i want something that works i also take oxycodone 15mg along with tizanidine 4mg been on pain pills for over 7 years strairt also have very servere nerve damage all way down left leg 24/7 leg pain never stops please help looking forword to hearing for you?
You didn't really make your question that clear. If it's pain relief you need you need to let people know if oxycodone works at all & if so how many times a day you take if so you could always go up the mg's on that. If it doesn't there's a ton of other pain killers available. You could try substained release morphine,or Fentenyl(transdermal patch you put on your skin) or Diaudid, there's just to many to mention. If your talking about T.H.C there's Marinol but a lot of people say the delivery method(oral) doesn't have the same effects. Hope this helps some but like I said you really need to be clearer. Good luck.
Well, Garry, I don't reckon your Dr. gives pee tests, huh? I don't know where you live, but where I live in Kentucky, pot will get your meds taken away immediately. Personally, I have no problem with it. I have a friend who is severely crippled with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthrtis, and pot is the ONLY thing that gives him relief. I would try talking to your Dr. about it... just be careful. I have had a triple fusion in my neck, and a double fusion in my lower back, so, I feel your pain...
I live in AZ where medical marijuana is legal but most regular pain docs will still consider your contract violated if you are mixing pot and opiates because there are not enough controlled studies to show what mixing the two can do to you. You have to pick either the MJ or opiates. It may be the same way in CA too but I dont know for sure. They have had the medical MJ thing much longer than we have. There are some studies going on that are showing medical MJ is better for relieving nerve pain and I read where one study has shown they can reduce opiates way down by adding medical MJ to the mix. Right now though, most states, MJ is still illegal. If you live in a state that allows medical MJ, you might discuss it as an option with your Dr but dont be surprised if he doesnt allow it along with your opioids. You may have to choose one or the other at this point. If you admit to using MJ to a Dr who doesnt approve of it you may stir up suspicions of addiction in your Dr, causing you difficulties with getting your opioid pain meds. So tread carefully.
