however, when I walk briskly on the treadmill, my heart rate is higher than what it used to be when I wasn't on metoprolol... shouldn't it be more difficult to get my heart rate up during exercise while on metoprolol? whats going on?
I am on 37mg metoprolol and has brought down my resting heart rate well?
Added 2 Apr 2015:
I am a 54 yro male, 178 lbs, 6feet. and before my episodic blood pressure spikes, I would jog treadmill for about an hr at 5,6,7mph 3 days a week with no trouble. now, walking briskly at 4mph puts my HR at 126, 4.5mph jog-149hr, and 5mph jog at 155hr....my max is 166 and I already way to close to that at 5mph, which isn't really anything.
