Is Is this a 7.5? Or ten?thx
It depends on the maker. I,m prescribed 10's and they have 540 on them and are blue. It also depends on the amount of acetometophen in them . If you have not taken them before, do not start. I have been on them for 7 years now and want to stop. But, withdrawels are evil. Thats why I,m on this sight looking for help. When you start taking them 1 or 2 a day are fine , but then it always ends up in more. I have takin as much as 10 a day, I.m down to 5, trying to get down to 1, but,its hard as I suffer from back and neck pain.I have heard of ppl taking as much as 20 a day. So, plz do not start if you have'nt!
hydrocodone (Brand name : Vicodin) comes in 5mg,7.5,10mg..generally a 5mg has 500 mg APAP(acetaminophen..which is tylenol) a 7.5mg has 750 mg tylenol..the bottle reads the hydrocodone first ,for example 7.5/750, or 5/500..and so on. There is a 10 mg. Hydrocodone which comes either 7.5/325 or 10/500. If you're trying to avoid too much tylenol per day, most mild to moderate or moderate to severe pain medications ( such as, Percocet) comes in a form without any tylenol, if you actually look up on this website..Drugs.com..it should provide you with the information you need,if you're trying to avoid too much of the recommended daily allowance of tylenol. As far as pain relieving effects it would take a 7.5 hydrocodone to equal the same pain relieving effect as just a 5mg.Percocet. I currently take 10/325 Percocet for chronic/continuous pain since an overdose of anestesia (malpractice at hospital) that damaged my pain nerve receptors. I hope this is useful and somewhat helpful.good luck to you and have a Happy and safe New Year!!! :)
