No it shouldn't do anything besides get rid of the pain. If you mean it the other way around amirtripyyline first or even together they should both do there seperate things they were made for,pain & depression. If you want to be sure they shouldn't be taken together just go to drugs.com or another one & look one of them up & see if they have any warnings. Hope this helps.
If I understand you right the doctor is or has taken you off the 30mg oxycodone & substituting it with 25mg of amitripyline? No it won't work as well as the oxycodone at all. You were on a hefty dose of oxy, & 25mg of amytripyline (at bedtime?) will not give you the same relief. Do you suffer from chrontic pain or what?
