... can't sit still and I am disabled from a car accident. I hurt but still can't stop moving. I have Bipolar I and it's still not under control 100%. Is there something out there that can help me without having to take all of this?
Hi, sweetpea! As my psych says, make realistic goals. Our goal is to feel 80% better, 80% of the time. Two antipsychotics that specifically treat Bipolar manic depression are Geodon and Seroquel and the anti~seizure medications like Lamictal and Depakote can help control mood swings.
Lithium is a mood stabilizer that's been the gold standard for Bipolar treatment for decades and works extremely well for some people.
I'd suggest an open and honest discussion with your doctor about the fact that you're not satisfied with your situation and talk about options.
