Could I be pregnant? I missed three in a week and my boyfriend came in me all week an I 3 days after I started my period but only had it for 2 days which isn't normal. What could this mean?
If you missed 3 pills and didnt use back up protection, you could be pregnant. Missing one pill only slightly raises chances but missing 3 can really increase your chances. For optimal effectiveness, you should be taking your pill at roughly the same time of day (within a few hours of the same time each day) and if you miss a pill, you should make up the pill as soon as you know that you have missed it and use back up, like condoms, for the next seven days. Many girls on here think that withdrawing before ejaculation protects you but it doesnt. You need a barrier method, usually a condom. The more pills you miss the greater the chance that you could become pregnant. I would recommend that you do a pregnancy test. If it comes up negative and you lucked out this time, you should make sure that you set a reminder on your cell phone or something so that you dont miss pills. It is very scary to wonder if you are pregnant when you dont want to be. If your test comes up positive, you have some decisions to make and you should schedule a Drs appt to discuss your options.
I doubt you're pregnant. A shorter period is a sign of being on the pill, not pregnancy. When you are on the pill it decreases the amount of lining in your uterus, and therefore decreases the flow. Of course, its not like you're not trying to get pregnant. You know you should be taking them at roughly the same time every day, yet you continue not to. You forget to take it at all. If you don't want to get pregnant, get a little more responsibility with taking the pill.
T There are many factors involved when it comes to being on birth control & failing to use it as designed. Usually the longer u have been on birth control, the longer it takes to get pregnant. This is not always the case though & my situation is living proof! I wad on the Neuva ring for 6 months, and since I did not have to put it in at a certain time. I was on antibiotics for several months which lessened the affect of the Bc. I stopped taking it for litterally less than 3 days and the nxt thing I knew I had a short period called an "implantation bleed" & found out I was pregnant. I still don't know if the short period was b4 I got pregnant or after. My situation may b a little abnormal side but it does happen! If I were u I would go to my Dr & get checked out! Good luck & best wishes!
