OMG, its not even recommended under 9 mos. Is the baby ok? They don't do studies on children like in adults, with groups who are given a med and groups who get placebos, obviously because they're just kids and they don't run any risks. They do however watch what happens with kids and meds. There is no evidence that it will help an infant, since infants almost always have a different kind of meningitis. I can't find anything that says its harmful tho. But an overdose, geez.
