Hi everyone, thanks in advance for taking the time to read.
I'm from UK and I was prescribed 60 x Fluoxetine last week for depression. I have taken 1 each day for the past 3 days. I am due to return back in the UK on 29 Aug and this is obviously longer away than the 57 days worth of tablets I have left.
My question is: should I stop using the tablets right now and wait for about a month and start using them again as if I start again in a month, I'll be back in time for the doftor to prescribe more
Another option: You can call your Drs. office and tell of your predicament. If you have a relative or friend close enough to the Drs. office who can pick up the script & have it filled, then mail it to you, you'll have enough. This depends, of course, if you are allowed to have someone pick up a prescription for you. I can do it here in the US, but my pharmacy staff knows me and my family. I would call ahead to the pharmacy to tell them who will be picking up my prescription for me so there's no problem. A nuisance overseas, but possibly necessary. Another alternative is to take your Prozac every other day until you have enough left to take it daily. Then you will be keeping some in your system to help with the depression or anxiety. Good luck to you.
