Understand how I can't be loosing anything? I think it might be cause I can't eat I actually forget about food and I am fine without it until the other day when I had severe stomach pains. I try to eat egg whites in the morning with veggies and turkey for lunch no bread and I gave up soda. I do drink on the weekends, I'm just curious how I can start loosing the weight I just don't understand why I'm not? Please help!
Hi KellWheels85, I know exactly what you mean. When I was on phentermine I lost over 50lbs, and I was excited, happy and showing off my new body. I gave up breads, pasta, and sugar. I start eating more healthier and exercising. My suggestion to you is to try to give up your sugar intake. That includes all the hidden sugar you don't see like, carrots, potatoes candy, soda, wine, and even liquor or beer. Also try exercising a little more even if its just a brisk walk around the block. Your body is probably immune to the phentermine, try not to take them for awhile, about a week, and then see what happens when you start back on them. I hope you start losing more.
The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in. It is good to eat healthy, for sure, but you will only lose weight when your body burns more calories than it takes in so you need to increase your caloric burn. Take stairs rather than the elevator, park further away at school or work, just little stuff through the day to increase your activity. Take walks or do a gym workout if you can. One other thing, dont skip meals. When you dont eat, your body thinks it is starving so in response, it shuts the metabolism down and tries to hang on to fat. You have to eat a little something about every 4 hours. Some find it helps to eat 6 very small meals rather than 3 bigger ones. Some find a small healthy snack in between meals helps. There are a lot of online sources and phone apps designed to help you track calories, both in and out. Look into those so that you can start getting to where you burn more calories than you take in. Then you will begin to lose.
