I have a adverse reaction to tramadol it does t touch the pain and jack me up and causes me to break out in hive naproxen thish I take for a blown out joint in my wrist makes me tired -I was a massage therapist- and I was shot up with steroids that do alright but in aria if the weight gain. I'm very active and have lost a lot of weight recently and I don't want this to effect my progress. I do stretches and physical therapy to try and help but I won't if there's a vitamin out there that would help or a drug without to many side effects.
I would look for another treatment instead of being "shot up with steroids". They can only be given a few times before they cause damage to your body. I was denied getting any more after having 4 of them 10 years before I had a major stroke when I could have REALLY used them. And at only 23 years old, you really need to find something else instead. Good luck.
Staying active and maintaining a low weight helps a lot. You should also see a physical therapist as they will give you specific exercises that maintain your flexibility and core strength. If you keep your weight controlled and move a lot you will do well for a long time. It also helps to always take the least amount of pain med you need and remind yourself that nothing is pain free. Staying busy, meditating, and exercise along with a good rheumatologist will do much for you. Keep a positive attitude and know you are not alone. So many others have this and there are many to talk with. I wish you happiness and relief from this condition. Karen
i was a massage therapist for 4 year before this reason i think it came so early i already blew out joints from over working it. but as for staying slim ive lost 80 pounds in the last year you think that would help lol. i dont eat prosessed food anything friend and try to stay organic and away from to many carbs. the only thing right now that im having trouble with is that i also blew out my acl recently so trying to stay active is harder i cant run like i want to or do other things until im all healed. my stomich has always been messed up so staying on track with food isnt to hard
Have you heard of the supplement Gluscomaine and Chondrontin?
I actually have had a lot of luck with this! It helps a great deal with this arthritis. IDK that it actually works for everyone, but I found it helpful. Yoga has been very helpful as well. Although, Pilates is something I can no longer do.
I hear that walking & swimming are extremely helpful too.
Good luck & let us know if you have any other questions!
