I came off Ritalin at the age of 18 because I felt it was affecting my social skills. But now I have just lost a job I was hoping to make a career of because of my lack of concentration
Hello, and welcome. Wow... I'm alot older than you and still take medicine for ADD/ADHD. I definately disagree you are too young to stop taking it. I would agree with the other's that reccomended a phsychiatrist. I feel that would be your best bet, and that is more of their field of expertise. I wish you the best. And good luck to you. You are young, and have your whole life ahead of you. Keep the faith in finding another job that you can make a career out of. Have faith and a little hope, and you will make it and go far. Best wishes, and wish you peace and happiness. Ruthie
Thanks a lot for your help people! I'm going to book an appointment with my doctor again first. Through my research online, I think I'm going to ask to try dexedrine or vyvance as those two mostly have positive feedback. Hopefully he will be able to prescribe me either of them! If these don't work for me then I think I'll have no other option than to go see a pysche. Or does anyone think I should go and see the pysch as well/first?
