... paperwork for me to get approved and I still have not heard anything. I have blue cross blue sheild. I was diagnosed a year and a half ago and have probably had it for only 2 to 3 years. I'm scared I won't get approved and cringe thinking about being so weak and fatigued for years to come. Can anyone help me understand the approval/denial process ? What do I do If I get denied?
I also have BC BS. and I was approved. My doctor told me that it would take a good 4-6 weeks before I heard anything from the insurance which he was correct. The insurance has to make sure they have everything they need. My doctor told me if I got denied they would fight it but that wasn't needed.
I also have BCBS of Tennesse it took me about 5 week. my Dr. said they mite not get approved but I did the first time.Hang in there make sure your Dr. sent all the blood work and test in but dont give up .Stay on your Dr. about this keep fileing for it because it your right for it Good luck you will get it.
Hi mimi, I also went through the same thing waiting and waiting. I found out later the reason was my insurance denied my doctors request for 12week treatment but later was approved about 3-4 months total wait time for 8week treatment My vl at time of request was 4,000,000 .
