He has a small bladder stone which took a year for them to actually find it on his sonagram and xray. He’s been rubbing his face a lot so i’m thinking his teeth may bother him and I gave him a 50 mg tramadol. I didn’t know it was too much. It’s been over 20 minits and he seems fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

My Vet asked for $2,800 for surgery and I just don’t have that kind of money so I’m so distraught. Any suggestions?
50mg was probably way too much for a 10kg dog although dogs are more tolerant to high doses of Tramadol than humans (you gave him 10 times the dose equivalent that a human would take). Member WildCatVet would have more information on the specifics but I can't guarantee she will read your question. Keep a close eye on your dog for signs of slowed breathing or difficulty in waking as a veterinary visit may be needed.
Good luck to Rocky, he'll need it.
