i still cannot get any sleep i have had 5hours in the last 96hours i am completely shattered i could only get an appointment 2 days from now so as i asked can i take more of the gabapentin just now?
Yes, 200mgs is a very VERY low dose. Maybe a call to the physician who prescribed it just to ok it with her/him is in order. You'll probably be told to titrate up on the dose very slowly. Gabapentin can cause some side effects, so doctors do go slowly when upping the dose.
When did you begin the 200mgs of Gab? Was it just in the past few days?
If so, your doc really should be asked if you can go up on the dose first.
Best wishes to you,
The average dose of gabapentin for restless legs syndrome is 600 mg daily. I learned this by searching for gabapentin on drugs.com and then looking under the usual dosage when being prescribed for restless leg syndrome. It's always a good idea to discuss any change in your dosage with your doctor before doing so.
I hope you have been able to get some more sleep, because I know how it feels to go without enough sleep!
