... where the fusion is and almost like a ridge of tissue at the top if you lean forward and then straighten? The pain has gotten better, but I have a numb feeling all the way down my legs to my feet and especially in my left big toe. I was told this would get better with time as the nerves heal. I am mostly concerned about the ridge of tissue and stick feeling.
I am 7 days post op. I swear I can feel a screw almost poking through my skin when I lay on my back. Nurse said it is swelling in that area. I think you might be feeling the rod. Again, due to the swelling in that area.
It sounds like you are having muscle spasms down the back of your leg into your feet. Mine goes from mid buttock, down back of thigh, hovers all around the knee and then straight down my calf. My nurse had me lay down and she felt along that muscle, she said she could feel it spasming. Ordered some Flexeril from my dr and I took one last night. It was the best I have felt. I would take to your dr and see if it a possibility. Good luck
