I’m a 26 year old, healthy active female. I don’t have HIV or another immune deficiency. I took antibiotics for a sinus infection which caused severe digestion problems, so I was put on PPIs. During that time I was also on steroid inhaler and nasal spray. Turns out I don’t have asthma so I’m off those. My gastroentologist completed an endoscopy found a mild infection of Candida in my esophagus and prescribed 100mg of fluconazole once daily for 14 days. I’m naturally anxious and am worried this won’t get rid of the Candida fully.
