I have had the Mirena for 2 years now, last week I started getting nauseous at the same time everyday, I had some very light bleeding for a day, then saturday had some sharp pain by my right ovary. I took a test and it came back very faintly positive. I took another the next day and it came back negative. I cant get into the dr til next week but has anyone had these problems?
are you able to take another pregnancy test, before you see your doctor?
they are pretty accurate, or so i've heard.
having a "faintly positive" test may not indicate pregnancy, but to be sure, take another test.
Have you told the Drs office your symptoms or did you just ask for an appt? You need to call the Drs office and tell them all of your symptoms and remind them that you have Mirena. It sounds like you might be having an ectopic pregnancy which are more common in women who have IUDs. If your Dr truly cannot get you in any sooner then go to the ER for evaluation. Ectopic pregnancies can be an emergency situation.
