... the post surgery care I should have and now have intense scarring and permenant nerve damage. has anyone had a surgery just for the removal of scar tissue? DOES IT WORK? I am petrified to have another back surgery. They did get me to stand straight and walk without a walker so in that way it was a success but this pain is getting worse and i am so done taking meds. hate myself because i have to. PLEASE, has anyone had suregry for this reason and did it work?
Surgery just to remove scar tissue would probably just create more scar tissue. I did have surgery to remove scar tissue, cysts and a neuroma caused by removal of ribs. I personally would not have surgery just to remove scar tissue, but you need to talk to your dr. My reconstructive surgery was done at Dellon Institute. I, too, did not want to take pain meds anymore. Within 2 weeks of surgery, I quit taking all pain meds -- didn't need them. Mine is a success story, but all cases are different. Bottom line, talk with your dr. He knows your case better than anyone. In the meantime, check out Dellon Institute. They specialize in peripheral nerve surgery and might be an option for you.
