I have taken my 3rd activation pill yestaday 2 june but still I have no sign of my period.should I be worried?
Of course not. Its not an activation pill, all it is a sugar pill that keep you taking a pill a every day and reminds you when you start the next pack. You body works this way, when the hormone level drops your period starts. This is always the way, even when you're not on the pill. You can get your period any time during the time you're on the sugar pills. As long as you are taking the pill at the same time every day, you are protected more then 99%
If you were taking your active pills correctly and waited to have sex until Day 8 of active pills then you were protected, no worries. The 4th weeks pills are inert or inactive pills, also called "reminder" pills or "sugar" pills. They are not activation pills-they dont do anything. Your body responds to the drop in hormones. The active pills you take weeks 1-3 contain hormones. The pills you take week 4 are inert or no active ingredients. They just help you to count the days until your next pack is due. Your period can come any day during this week, even the last one although most commonly by the 3rd to 5th day but that can change month to month and bottom line, it can come anytime that week. If you have no period and it is time to start the new pack, go ahead and do so. In the beginning you may skip a period or be irregular. If you miss two periods in a row, you need to see your Dr though.
