So the blood would go the head more quickly. It was supposed to prevent a seizures or fits the daughter was having. This is something he did more than once as some kind of treatment/prevention. IDK. Has anyone ever heard of this? Also I know the person that it was done to is certainly not epileptic but may have had some kind of fits and also this person was during childhood a big time sleep walker even had to be tied to the bed just around the wrist. Is there anything medical to this, was this an old dated treatment or is this some kind of magic from the old country? This was not done to be sadistic but it was believed to be helping in some way. I know they used to bleed people. I am guessing this is in the same ballpark. What were they thinking? Could this have been something that was recommended by a doctor at the time?
