... my periods or not. And if I can get pregnant as well. Also does it hurt getting it removed? I've been worrying about the removal process... How long does It take? And also when on implanon what would the symptoms be?
Implanon is very effective to prevent pregnancy. It is about 99-99.9% effective. No birth control is 100% effective so this is pretty effective. It usually isnt a problem to remove. They numb up your arm, palpate the device to make one end stick up and they make a very small incision (cut) and pull it out with forceps. Some women form a lot of scar tissue and this can make it a little more difficult to remove but they can still do it. It usually doesnt take much more time to remove one than it does to put one in unless it is severely encapsulated in scar tissue (and this doesnt happen that often). As far as your periods, this is harder to predict as every woman is a bit different. Some women stop periods altogether especially in the first year or two. Implanon excretes a bit less hormone each year so your bleeding patterns may change a bit each year so dont be alarmed.
Removal rakes about 20 min or less its less pain then putting it in imop as for periods it differes per person body hormonal fluctuations and weight most people they get there period or light spotting every few months or so but its not medicaly nessasary to have a period if you dont want to get pregnant
