I am having knee surgery and my doctor recommends taken aspirin for few weeks after surgery to stop blood clogs. I am on Harvoni medication and everything I read about Harvoni says not to take anything that will thin your blood.
The use of ASA (aspirin) is definitely contraindicated for concomitant administration with the anti-hepatitis therapy Harvoni®. If you desperately need an anticoagulant for a period after your surgery consider Coumadin or one of the NOACs (newer oral anti-coagulants) such as Xarelto® or Pradaxa® to name a couple.
