her liver enzymes are now elevated, i would like to see her off of the methotrexate period..does she really need to be on both for jra???
My 15 year old daughter is on methotrexate and enbril are both necessary?

Her rheumatologist must have some reason for it. I checked the interactions and the major thing was increased chance of serious infections. You might want to put it on the list of questions for her rheumatologist at her next appt. I'd be interested in knowing that too. Not having dealt with JRA, just adults with it.
My 8.5 year old has just started methorexate back up after being off of it for 6 months. Her rheumatologist is also getting enbrel started if our insurance will clear it. His reasoning was to be aggressive up front (she has had multiple flare ups since she went of her previous metho injections). He wants to get her back to feeling pain free before he weins her off the methotrexate.
