I have some old (15-18months) tetracycline capule. Is this still good? Wonder what the life span is?

Hello mountainbassman. I would discard it. Most all drugs (perscribed) are no longer used a year after the perscription was filled. It being an antibiotic and almost a year and a half old, I doubt that it will be as effective as it once would have been. There are several nurses on this site that might offer you thier expertise in regards to your question. Regards pledge

Tetracycline in particular should not be used passed the expiration date. Old tetracycline can cause kidney damage. Antibiotics should not be taken after the expiration as a general rule.
