I had 1280 mcg of fentanyl administerd during my foot surgery. I was told by my doctor who performed

I seriously doubt they keep track of it. If you are used to having opiates, you would need more, or you could be very tolerant of it naturally. It could very likely be that in his memory, you had the highest amount. The high end of normal dose as an adjunct to anesthesia is 50mcg/kg. Depending on your weight, you could have had a fairly high dose. Sometimes if people are tense about surgery it takes more for anesthesia.
