I take 1250 lithium every night. Two months ago my lithium levels were 0.8 whereas today my results?

... came back as 1.51. I've been told by one person that that is "quite high" and another person told me it is "extremely / dangerously high". Which is it? Thanks!
1.5 is the upper limit for lithium serum levels. You need to have the dosage adjusted to prevent toxicity. Also, Lithium is usually taken in divided doses rather than all at the same time.
I take 600 of lithium and the correct levels are 0.5 to 1.5. I'm 0.6 so they are fine. But not sure if taking a different amount of lithium has anything to do with it or not. Just ask your doctor. He/she will know.
Thank you both for answering. Your answers really helped. I'm now taking 750 at bedtime instead but I have been told that the toxicity levels will take about 10 days (5 more days to go!) until they are stable and then another blood test. Thanks again!
