Mom, First most people take Lexapro in the morning to avoid insomnia but if she already doesn't worry about it but if the doctor says its okay make sure once you change it you leave it there and try to give it to her at about the same time each day. Now because she was on Wellbutrin the Lexapro could start to work faster because she already has some of the serotonin in her. But if she was tapered off of it then it can take from 4 to 8 weeks to reach the blood level for the antidepressant effect. also yes the first week or two it can make you feel bad in the beginning it makes the symptoms that the doctor is trying to get under control stronger but after the 1 to 2 weeks these effects fo away and she should be feeling better. good luck.
