I'm 15 years old (female) and my doctor prescribed me 50mg of Zoloft, but lately I've been feeling very depressed and anxious. Would it be okay if I were to take two pills of 50mg instead of one? I'd like to know before actually taking another pill.
I'm not sure how long you've been taking the 50 mg dose. Usually a doctor will want to start on a lower dose of an antidepressant and give it some weeks for it to reach a therapeutic level. Definitely talk to your doctor right away about how you're feeling. He may want to go ahead and raise your daily dose if you are still feeling this way. Taking an extra dose if you just started talking it shouldn't be done without speaking with your doctor
