I'm new and nervous really but I have no one to talk two I've been diagnosed with IBS and other medical problems. I am 100 percent incontinent. I live 24 hours in a diaper which has caused depression. As I try to hide my issues I'm hoping this group will help hopefully cause I've really been struggling with this, going out in public, work, being around people in general. I just need some advice. Thanks.
I'm dreadfully sorry about your issues; may I ask if you have seen a doctor about self catheterization? You may find that a urine bag is more versatile without the worry of smelling of urine. The volume of the bag need not be huge and you can just empty it by going to the bathroom.
As far as advice goes this is not much but I feel you may feel more normal with a catheter; which equals less depression.
I am so sorry... I can relate to ur depression from medical. I have crohns psoriasis & depression. I know you feel awkward & uncomfortable in public so sorry. But after years of this feeling . i have realized that everyone has issues... u are a GREAT person. Look past the medical & let the inner you SHINE!! Show the world the real u... If people judge ... u dont need them. I hope all goes well. I agree that maybe catherization may help u also.
