but lately the 30 mg seem to do nothing and i have to take at least two ,, i was wondering if anyone has ever heard of taking the ms cotin ,,, the either 4 or 8 mg diladud for breakthrough??? or is my dr. gonna look at me like im crazy when i ask this ?? any help would be appreciated?
What I'm seeing as wrong is you need too much for breakthrough. If your dose of the mscontin was adequate you'd not need so much. The mscontin dose should be increased. Usually they try to keep the same drug in ir as in the extended release, but there really isn't a reason you couldn't use dilauded. The other thing is if dilaudid works well for you there is an extended release dilaudid, called exalgo.
