That's what my doc has prescribed me.
I am currently on generic Sonata 10 mg myself. My Dr. tried seroquel first, but didn't prescribe them together. It should be safe since Sonata is a hypnotic sleep aid, and Seroquel is not a sleeping pill. It is actually an antidepressant that can be used for insomnia as well. Check with your Dr. if you are concerned. I take Effexor in the morning (antidepressant) & Sonata at night. I've had no interactions, but ask your Dr why you we're given both meds. I would take it as prescribed and if you have any weird side effects let the dr. know. If he knows your medical history he must think it will help you sleep to take both together.
