Was prescribed celexa for anxiety and depression. After reading leaflet and doing research I'm so scared to take it. The side effects are sound so terrible and I am worried that it will interfere with my job. Not sure what to do. Not sure I want jaw clenching, heart troubles and sleep disturbances:/
First, go over your concerns with your pharmacist and your doctor. That being said, legally ths has to be brought to the patients' attention and most of the major side affects are rare. You have to decide yourself whether feeling more like "you" is worth the possibility of what may its may not happen. Please keep in touch and keep posted how you're doing
Hi poetic anne-
It is usually the first med prescribes for anxiety and depression. It is know for it's tolerability and usually low side effects. It is also one that is usally the least likely to poop out on you if you continue to take it.
It may take 2-6 weeks to kick in so be patient. If you do get side effects that interfere with your job you can always taper off of it. Talk to your doc.
You have great people to talk to on this site also, they are very supportive.
Hope you are better soon!
