I am taking Klonopin and was on the green teva for the longest time, last time i got them filled no one told me they changed to the white Avasit-i believe thats the name of the company i can tell you i have noticed a big difference i dont care what they say that the fda has to put the same medicine in it, i am telling you i went from no panick attacks to not sleeping to headaches and this last time i asked the pharmacist about the change he said its all about the insurance companies wanting to save money so right there that tells me they are going with a less expesive medication, he said maybe we will go back to the green tevas at some point, i guess im going to have to find a new pharmacy that carrys the green tevas, cause these white/yellow pills are not working
The insurance companies don't regulate what kind of generics used. Just that a generic is used. Its the pharmacies distributor who decides what to buy, and they will buy the cheapest they can get, no matter. It has to have the med, it does not have to be the exact amount or have the same inactive ingredients. The inactive ingredients can change absorption and thus effect. The only way that this is going to be stopped as long as everyone is getting rich is for people who get these off brand pills made by companies we never heard of, is to complain to the FDA. You can do that at fda.gov.
