Psych prescribed for sleep so I could quit Zolpidem. Also, only taken Trazadone 2 nights in a row now. Takes couple hours to help sleep and feel "usual groggy" effects for 5-6 hours after waking. Does anybody think it'll start working sooner with less side effects after a few days?
Wow that's a lot to take at one time Trazadone alone should work to help you sleep. To avoid the groggy feeling take it earlier than usual. That feeling won't go away if you only get a few hours of sleep. As for the other meds I wouldn't take them with Trazadone. I wouldn't take all of them at one time at all.
I still struggle with the zolpidem. But I ran out once and tried Amitriptyline it is a tricyclic antidepressant. It affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced..I did 125mg and slept well. even better than the zombi drug. but the side effects were dry mouth, Lost sex drive. and the ability to get them all the time.
