Wound-Kote Gentian Violet Indications

A quick-drying, penetrating antiseptic dressing and gall lotion for horses and cattle.

Spray on surface wounds, minor cuts and skin abrasions, harness galls, cowpox sores.

WOUND-KOTE dries up cowpox lesions and controls secondary infections.

Wound-Kote Gentian Violet Dosage And Administration

Shake well: Remove the protective cap. Point the nozzle opening towards the wound or the area to be treated. Spray from a distance of two (2) to four (4) inches. Release the spray by pressing the valve stem down for just an instant. The slightest amount of spray you can quickly release over the area to be treated will provide an adequate dosage. The application may be repeated once a day or more often until healing takes place. Whenever possible, clean and dry the affected area before applying. Do not use on exceedingly large areas or in deep wounds.

Precaution(s)

Contents are under pressure. Do not place in hot water or near radiators, stoves or other sources of heat. Do not puncture or incinerate container, even when empty, or store at temperatures above 120°F.

Container may explode if heated.

Wound-Kote Gentian Violet Caution(s)

In case of deep or puncture wounds or serious burns, consult veterinarian. If redness, irritation, or swelling persists or increases, discontinue use of the product, consult a veterinarian.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Livestock remedy: Not for human use. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to large areas of the body. Do not apply at all to cats. Note that the spray will stain clothing.
