Vitamin Ad Injection

This treatment applies to the following species:

Active Ingredient(s)

Each mL of sterile solution contains:

Vitamin A

500,000 I.U.

Vitamin D3

75,000 I.U.

Vitamin E (antioxidant)

5 I.U.

Ethyl alcohol

8%

Benzyl alcohol

2% v/v

B.H.A. (as a preservative in an emulsifiable base)

0.75%

B.H.T. (as a preservative in an emulsifiable base)

0.75%

Vitamin AD Injection Indications

For use as a supplemental source of vitamins A and D in cattle, sheep and swine.

Vitamin AD Injection Dosage And Administration

Inject intramuscularly, using a sterile 14 to 18 gauge needle, 1-2 inches long. Injection should be made into a heavily muscled area, preferably high on the rump, using aseptic technique.

Calves

0.5 to 1 mL

Yearling Cattle

1 to 2 mL

Adult Cattle

2 to 4 mL

Lambs

0.25 to 0.5 mL

Fattening Lambs

0.5 to 1 mL

Adult Sheep

1 to 2 mL

Weanling Pigs

0.25 to 0.5 mL

Growing Pigs

0.5 to 1 mL

Adult Swine

1 to 2 mL

These suggested dosages may be repeated in two to three months, as needed.

Precaution(s)

Store at a controlled room temperature, between 59° and 86°F (15°-30°C). Keep partially used vials under refrigeration. Keep from freezing.
